Mike Heckroth asked:

Looking for a new hobby? Perhaps Nitro RC trucks may be just what you are looking for. Nitro powered trucks are powerful machines that can run both on-road or off-road (depending on the type of truck that you buy).

You can customize the truck just like a real vehicle, depending on your needs and preferences. Remote control alone with customization can be boring at times. If you are interested in the technical aspects of an RC vehicle, then this hobby is for you. Let’s see why hundreds of hobbyists are flocking to buy Nitro RC trucks.

1) Nitro – learn more about this new and powerful fuel!

First of all, don’t mistake Nitro for gas. Nitro is NOT gasoline. So don’t try to feed a Nitro truck with gas. You won’t be able to get it to work anyway. The three main ingredients that go into Nitro is Nitromethane (hence the name Nitro), Methanol and oil. This fuel actually works to protect the engine as temperature goes up. This allows the machine to operate at higher efficiency. In other words, you get more power!

2) Able to customize.

If you are not happy with the performance of the truck, you can always choose from a wide range of performance accessories. You can choose to replace the battery with a more powerful one, or you may even replace the entire engine. It’s all up to your own individual preference.

This is, perhaps, the primary reason why hobbyists just can’t get enough of these trucks. There are just so many things that you can go into. Don’t think that it’s easy to customize a truck to maximum performance on a race course. When you think that you have gotten the best specifications, someone comes up with something better and beat yours. So back to the drawing board to find out why your truck isn’t performing as well as the competition.

It takes patience, time and lots of practice and experience to get the “formula” right. That sounds like all the right ingredients for an interesting and long lasting hobby.

3) Many attractive trucks to choose from.

There are so many different models to choose from. They range from road buggies to Titan trucks. Road buggies are getting more and more popular these days because of their appealing looks and their ability to perform on rough terrain. It’s actually more fun to see an RC buggy racing through the sand and flying over humps and whatever obstacles that come into its path.

4) Trucks are based on real life vehicles.

Perhaps you are not old enough to own a real truck yet. Or perhaps owning a real vehicle just isn’t an option. But you are in love with a truck. So what do you do? You buy a replica of the real thing – a remote controlled Nitro driven truck. This is a great way to get to own your dream vehicle without having to fork out a fortune.

Tweak the truck to your heart’s content and never have to worry about a single loan installment!

Pinellas County Appraiser

Alex Desatoff asked:

How fast are they really?

If your interested in buying an electric RC car then you likely have a few questions regarding what you can expect from them. The main question that arises the most kind of speeds can it reach. Fast electric RC cars, the ones that are tuned just right and have a custom engine are still no match to a gas powered RC car. You can realistically expect speeds of 30-45 MPH on an average electric RC car and 50-75 MPH on a more advanced and properly tuned vehicle.

Battery Life/Run Time

Another factor that should be considered before making a purchase is the battery life. The battery life on an average RC car will give you 15 to 20 minutes of run time – full speed. Some radio control cars will deplete energy faster depending on accessories like working lights, alarms and the like. Check the battery charge rating on the specifications sheet to ensure it will run on a single charge according to your expectations.

Space Requirements/Where To Race

Unlike gas powered RC cars, electric RC cars can be driven/raced in apartment complexes due to being slower and the reduced noise levels no worrying about complaining neighbors! Most fast electric RC cars are built with standard street tires which are smaller and use less rubber. This is ideal if your in town and you’ll only be driving on pavement. If your into offroad racing then you will need to upgrade your RC car tires to a larger size with better tread for increased grip.

Your Local Hobby Shop

Hobby shops often have race tracks and strips of pavement specifically for racing RC cars – a great place to have some fun and learn some interesting things about RC cars from other enthusiasts. If you really decide you like the RC hobby world then you can even enter racing competitions that take place at these tracks and have a chance at winning prizes! Electric RC cars may be fast but they are no competition for a gas powered RC car so you may be out of luck unless they specifically have different competition groups for gas and electric RC cars.

About The Radio Control Signal

One final note pertains to the signal output by your controller. On cheaper RC cars the signal may interfere with other RC cars and you may experience dead spots where you lose control of your RC car. Better models use a specific signal “channel” for each type of RC car that is built – if the same two RC cars are together you have the option of switching to another “channel” so this does not happen.

Nitro Engine Analysis Software

Andre McFayden asked:

Until recently, most rc airplanes were powered by small two-stroke engines, using liquid fuels. Models powered by electric motors were very uncommon, due to the excessive weight of the power system and battery. However, the electric rc airplane has become commonplace, especially in models meant for beginner pilots.

Electric power advantages include reliability, convenience, low noise, low vibration, and clean operation. The disadvantage of early systems was low power relative to weight. However modern electric airplane motors, combined with advanced batteries, have increased the performance of electric rc airplanes by leaps and bounds.

In the more common Brushed motors, current switching is done using sliding contacts known as brushes. These brushes get hot and wear out over time. In Brushless motors, the switching happens electronically using a special speed controller. This second type of motor and its controller are more expensive to make. Its advantages are no maintenance and higher performance.

There are three main types of battery packs in use for electric airplane motors. These are Nickel Cadmium (NiCad), Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) and Lithium Polymer (LiPo). LiPo batteries are lighter for a given application, but are more expensive than NiCad or NiMH.

Electric rc airplane types include powered sailplanes, indoor flyers, scale models, aerobatic models, and ducted fan (jet-type). Virtually any type of rc model can now be electric powered. Even electric helicopters are now a practical reality. For the beginner, something slow and stable is recommended for a trainer aircraft.

Visit the RC Airplane Advisor for more info about Electric RC Airplanes.

This article may be reprinted if proper credit is given and all links left intact.

Copyright

Rob David Stone asked:

Many of the fast planes are designed for those who have had some experience at least of controlled a remote control plane and ready to progress to the next level up. The designs are very professional and give a high amount of performance and speed so ideally should only been flown in open areas such as your local park. Do bear in mind the safety aspects as there will be many people, families and animals in the area. Even though many planes are designed to be flexible when crashing, they can still be painful if they are to hit someone which is why experience is usually necessary.

More channels on the controller mean more planes can fly in the area without the signal getting confused between devices. The Warbird for example comes with a 4 channel controller and gives very precise and quick responses leaving you able to perform all sorts of stunts. Many websites give videos of these planes in action so worth checking out before buying.

For a park flyer, the Warbird is ideal due to it being a very nimble plane and its 370C engine giving it a high top speed so not for indoors. The aerobatics that this and other fast RC planes are capable of are astounding. Anything from loop the loops to barrel rolls and inverted passes these are highly manoeuvrable planes.

If you would like to expand your flying enjoyment then there is another RC Model Airplane called the P-51D which can perform a stable slow flight as well as fast magnificent moves. The propeller is controlled by the 370 electric motor with the gearbox transferring the movement to the front of the plane. As we mentioned above regarding crashing, this plane is made from styrene foam which is more brittle compared to the alternative EPP foam but gives you the option for more add-ons. Even if it does crash and need repairing, a small amount of Araldite glue or even PVA wood glue will get you up and running in minutes.

Specifications include -

Wingspan: 870MM

Length: 737MM

Weight: 400g

Battery: Ni-Mh 8.4V/600 MaH with UK charger included

Power System: LS-370 Motor (1:5.3 Gear Ratio)

R/C System: 4 channel R/C System and 3 Servo And 1 Electronic Speed Controller all included.

All in all, there are many types of RC Planes for all levels of experience which run on electric or petrol, the same goes for other models such as Electric and Petrol RC Cars, RC Boats and Tanks with a full range of backup parts for servicing and repairs.

Indianapolis Appraiser

Nelson Taylor asked:

Aviation has been one subject which has continued to be a great source of interest for adventurers and aircraft enthusiasts all over the world for the past century. Enthusiasts all over the world love to fly aircraft of all types. While many have had the privilege to become airborne with the help of one type of aircraft or the other, there are some who fulfill their dreams with smaller flying models. These are small aircrafts made out of lightweight material and fitted with an engine and a remote control device. Helicopters are a particularly favorite type of aircraft in this league of remote controlled aircraft. Electric RC helicopters are a sub-part of this type and they are famous because of the advantages provided by the electric engine.

In the near past, electric RC helicopters were used indoors specifically due to their small size as well as lack of emission of fumes. Larger helicopters have been developed since then and are ideal for outdoor use. These have been available for the last few years and are immensely popular. Their quietness is one factor which contributes greatly to their popularity. Therefore, they can also be flown in neighborhoods where there are restrictions on noise levels. Original nitro helicopters have also been converted into electric powered helicopters with the help of commercial or home made kits.

However, these helicopters were not as popular before due to the price tag, the amount of maintenance needed and the countless quantity of practice and patience that was required to fly them properly. Today, all this is no longer the case and these helicopters have achieved and maintained popularity with customers over the years. Mentioned below are some features that makes them popular now-a-days:

* Reasonable cost: In the past RC helicopters usually came at steep prices where each and every part and configuration required had to be bought and assembled. Electric RC helicopters usually come for less then $200 and cheaper and more sophisticated models are coming out regularly. The best part is that they normally come fully assembled and ready to fly. All necessary equipments and accessories are included in the kit. Also by using batteries to operate the helicopters, money is further saved as its no longer necessary to buy several gallons of gas to fly.

* Clean and silent: Originally thought to make a lot of noise as well as create pollution, the RC helicopters were rarely flown around neighborhoods. However, issues of noise size and pollution are not a problem with the electric RC models. Noise has been greatly reduced while pollution has been done away with altogether. This has also rendered them neighborhood safe.

* Reliable and convenient flying: Gas helicopters are prone to crashes since gas engines are not really very reliable. Electric helicopters, on the contrary are very reliable. They don’t cut out mid air even if the battery is down and there is no need to crank up the engine over and over again. The electric motors can function anywhere at any point of time while there’s battery. They are also easier to fly then gas models which makes them ideal for beginners.

There are some other benefits as well to the electric RC helicopter. They include easy maintenance which means the amount of fixing to be done is kept to a minimum and also its size. These helicopters can be small enough to be flown in the bed room. With the models being improved upon regularly, is it any wonder that these helicopters are so in demand?

Radio Control Boat Racing

Kristie McDonald asked:

More and more people are entering into the exciting world of remote control racing. Today it is very easy for those who want to become RC racers to get started with RC cars or trucks. The RC cars of today are extremely high-performance machines loaded with powerful, sophisticated engineering. RC Racing can be as simple as kids fooling around in the parking lot or as sophisticated as the professional races organized by the IFMAR Worlds Championship. But beware – it can be very addictive!

One of the most popular types of R/C cars is the Off-Road Buggy. The Off-Road Buggy with its Big tires with “knobby” spikes, it’s full-travel suspension parts and a high ground clearance hauls the off-roader to almost anywhere. Most RC Buggies are 2WD or 4WD and they can reach speeds as high as 40-45 mph.

The On-Road cars have lower ground clearances, slicks tires, aerodynamic bodies, and are capable of higher speeds. A miniature engine that burns a special glow fuel powers the Nitro cars. Some of these cars can reach speeds of over 75 miles mph. The Electric cars use rechargeable NICd battery packs for power. They are able to stay running ten minutes, can be charged up in fifteen minutes, ready to race in no time. Many people who enjoy the hobby of racing these miniature power-houses also like to build them. Nitro Toyz offers kits that you can use to build the cars and trucks of your choice. You can take great pride in putting together your RC Kit and racing it.

For many of us who do not have much time but still like to race RC vehicles, there are many pre-built or Ready to Run cars on the market. The RTR models let you start driving just as soon as you open up the box. Most RTR vehicles come with a power plant and radio system already installed.

Appraiser St Petersburg

Riz S Davis asked:

The beginnings of the remote control car can be traced back to the 1940s, when small, nitromethane-powered engines first entered the market. At the time, the only way to control an engine-powered model car was with a tether. While these cars were fast, they merely ran in a circle from the tether. In the late 1960s, the first miniaturized solid state radio control systems were introduced, allowing model cars to have servo-controlled steering, throttle, and brake functionality that could be remotely controlled from a transmitter unit.

Several early commercially viable remote control cars became available by 1966, produced by El-Gi (Elettronica Giocattoli), a company from Reggio Emilia, Italy. Their first remote control car model was a 1:12 Ferrari 250LM. This was followed by their 1:10 Ferrari P4 model, which was first shown at the Milan Toy Fair in early 1968. Between the mid to late 1960s, a British company called Mardave also began to produce commercially viable remote control cars. Their first products were nitro- or gas-powered cars which were sold in the early 1970s.

During that period, several commercial products were manufactured by small firms in the United States. Most of these companies started out as slot car companies, then moved into the remote control car field, which was becoming more popular. Early kits were 1/8 scale nitro-powered aluminum flat pan cars powered by a .21 or smaller engine, with the bodies made of polycarbonate.

In 1976, the Japanese firm Tamiya released a series of highly detailed but mechanically simple electric on-road car models. Although more expensive, these kits and radio systems sold quickly. Soon, Tamiya began to produce more purpose-built remote-controlled model cars, and were the first to release off-road buggies with real suspension systems. This allowed remote control cars to be driven virtually anywhere, not just on bitumen and smooth surfaces. It was this development toward the off-road class that brought about much of the hobby’s popularity.

Master Affiliate

Kevin Brown asked:

The roar of the crowd as the cars rush by, the sense of excitement in the air. Is it the Indy 500? No, it is RC racing! RC racing, or remote control racing also known as radio control, is a quickly growing hobby segment that appeals to both young and old, and men and women.

RC cars are popular at a hobby level, for creating and putting the cars together, or even taking it to the next level with professional tuning and racing. You can purchase RC cars as a kit in an unassembled form or completely assembled and rtr or ready to run condition.

What Types of RC Cars Are There?

The selection for RC cars is huge and growing every day. You can choose cars in almost any body type that you desire, in any color and any style. However, there are a few main distinctions that you will need to make before you choose any car for the first time.

You can choose from:

1) Gas powered or electric

2) On road racing models or off-road models

3) Assembled or non-assembled

4) Car or Truck

These are the main choices, however once you choose what type you are looking for, you will still have many style choices as well as engine choices to make.

Gas Powered or Electric?

The biggest decision that will have to make when you choose an RC car is whether it is powered by nitro gasoline or an electric battery pack. There are pros and cons to both types, and ultimately you need to decide what type of power is best for your needs and what you want your RC car to achieve.

Electric RC Cars

Electric remote control cars are an excellent choice if you are just getting started in the world of RC cars. They are typically easier to care for, and much easier to maintain than their gas powered counter parts. An electric car will make a great starter car because they are generally less expensive than a nitro car, so you can take the time to practice and perfect your driving skills before laying down a lot of money.

Electric cars are run on batteries. The batteries are assembled into battery packs that usually have a recharging capability. This is much more cost effective than cars that require new batteries. However it can also be time consuming having to recharge your battery pack, so if you do not like to wait, a spare battery pack is likely a good investment.

You can purchase electric RC cars for any budget, so you should choose a car that is suitable for your needs. Electric cars typically go slower than a nitro car, however you can purchase electric cars that will achieve high speeds.

It is important to remember when you buy a new electric car you must break in the motor slowly in order to extend the motor life and allow the engine to achieve its full potential. When you break in the motor, you simply start running the car at a slower speed and gradually bring it up to speed. If you do not want to take the time to break in an engine you can purchase cars ready to run. In most cases, these cars are ready to go and the motors are already broken in.

Nitro Gas Cars

RC cars that run on nitro gasoline are the most popular and fastest growing segment of remote control cars. With nitro vehicles, you can buy the popular trucks that will take jumps at high speeds and go off road driving. Alternatively, if speed is more your thing, look for the racecars that are meant to speed along pavement, tracks or other prepared surfaces.

As with electric RC cars, you can purchase ready to run cars or kits in varying states of assembly. Nitro RC vehicles typically run faster than electric vehicles and you can find some that will go 70mph right out of the box.

Gas powered RC vehicles run on a specially formulated fuel made especially for RC cars. Most nitro vehicles have a pull start engine similar to a lawnmower for easy starting. Because nitro cars are more complex than electric vehicles, it is important that you follow the instructions carefully. You can purchase nitro starter kits that come with everything that you need to get started. This is a great way to go for beginners when you do not want to leave anything out.

As with electric cars, it is very important to break in your engine unless of course you purchase a ready to run kit, which should be ready to go straight out of the box.

Which Way to Go

No matter if you choose the nitro gas powered version or the battery powered RC vehicles, you will have a great selection available to you, and of course, you will have a lot of fun. Why not try a few of each? With so much variety out there, it is almost impossible to settle on only one RC vehicle.

Keith Londrie asked:

There’s a little boy inside each gown up man. That saying is pretty much valid for all of the men on Earth.

Men like having a hobby. It might b fishing, sports or simply being a kid keen on rc cars. In fact the radio controlled cars madness is something very common nowadays. There are hundreds of men who spend long hours playing with their radio controlled vehicles.

Sounds interesting? Well, read on to see what it takes to step into the rc cars madness.

First of all you need to have enough free time. Unlike other hobbies that can be fitted in your busy schedule, radio controlled vehicles will take much of your time. Of course you are not obliged to spend it. It is just that your satisfaction will be incomplete if you only spend a few minutes with your rc toys.

The second important thing is the purely financial. RC vehicles hobby is expensive. Most of the good quality radio controlled vehicles are not cheap. Moreover you will be tempted get some improvements and upgrade your rc car as you go along. If you cannot afford it you better do not start as you will not be able to stop and your budget might suffer.

If both of the above are not a problem for you, you should start reading. Yes, rc cars require knowledge. You should be familiar about the way radio controlled vehicles work, the common types of vehicles and their specifics. Even though having knowledge is not obligatory this is what really makes the difference between “playing with an rc car” and being “mad about it”.

Start from learning the basic types of radio controlled vehicles. You will easily discover that the first choice you have to make is whether to buy an electric car or a nitro one. Each type has its advantages and disadvantages.

Once you get your first rc car you will have to learn how to operate it. In theory it looks very simple, but the reality will show you that it is not, especially if you want to participate in races. Soon you will catch yourself thinking about the upgrades available for your car.

The story can continue endlessly. Having a radio controlled car is much more obsessive than having a real car. The main reason behind it is that there is much more scope for fun with rc cars than with real vehicles. Another great advantage of being an rc fan is that you will meet a lot of new people – both in the neighborhood and online.

Buy Foreclosures

Randell Rogfend asked:

The fastest and most exciting category, gas powered remote control cars can go as fast as 50 – 60+ miles per hour. The 1/8 gas cars go 70 – 80 mph in racing competitions. Also called nitro Remote Control Car because the hobby fuel used contains nitro methane to increase speed and power. Popular are the 1/10 on-road nitro touring cars. For beginners, electric remote control cars are the best… easier to control, build, and maintain. There are even ready to run (rtr) models that sell for less than $100. But I would recommend better models such as the HPI Sprint RTR and Associated TC3 RTR. Great reviews have been posted in rc car forums. If you prefer playing or racing indoors or have limited space to play, there are small but fast micro and mini remote control cars. Popular models are the 1/28 Kyosho Mini-Z and the 1/18 HPI Micro RS4. One of the hottest segment of the hobby, and companies are scrambling to produce their own mini remote control cars and trucks. For exciting dirt action, the 1/8 off-road gas remote control buggies are the fastest around an off road track. These 4×4 machines reach speeds of 40+ mph.
There are also 1/10 off-road electric remote control buggies such as the RC10B4 which are great racing buggies for beginners.

The new craze… 1/18th Scale Mini Nitro RC Cars! I believe that small, 1/18 scale nitro rc cars will be the next big thing in the remote control hobby. Combine the popularity of nitro with mini size, definitely a fun model to buy. XRAY is starting the trend by producing a 1/18 scale remote control model car powered by a nitro engine. So cool! Remote Control Cars have arrived. Fast nitro RC cars achieve stock speeds to 80 MPH+. Not into nitro RC cars? There are electric RC cars too. Electric remote control cars can be used indoors and outside. Electric rc cars, trucks, helicopters which make amazing gifts for all ages. Whichever remote control car or rc truck you choose, you will not be disappointed.

Lightning F1 Race Car 1:8th Scale RC Electric Car is a ready to run vehicle, which means you are racing within minutes of opening the box. The Lightning comes with all the batteries you need, a charger and a trigger style transmitter. The Lightning F1 Race Car is a very detailed car and at 22 inches long is big enough to turn everyone’s head. The Lightning F1 Race Car 1:8th Scale RC Electric is super fast and won’t disappoint. Offering information, articles and a list of service providers for all things rc. Check it out at Remote Control Car.

Ringtone Store

Shareen Aguilar asked:

There are already two choices available for your RC car. You can either run it on or off road but if you want to go the extra mile and add a few rush of adrenaline to your racing experience, you can opt for the off road car, truck or buggy. We all know that RC cars are the most common type among all other RC toys. RC cars are ideal for a typical racer or those who love speed even from just little cars.

But then again, there are still the off-road type of RC vehicles you can try just in case off-roading became a sudden curiosity and interest to you; there are off-road trucks and buggies available. Don’t worry, if you think that off-road RC trucks are limited to electric engines, better think again because these babies are also available in nitro fueled engines. It doesn’t stop there, if you’re a first timer in handling off-road RC trucks, don’t worry, there are ready-made merchandise available in the market as well.

Next are the buggies. What are these things anyway? These are little RC vehicles that can run up to 60mph. Compared to off-road trucks; they are much reliable to be handled by beginners. But that doesn’t make trucks less than any better. The only difference with this type of RC vehicle is that they are only available in nitro kits.

With an off-road RC, you’ll be able to race your car/truck/buggy just about anywhere. These vehicles can still run fast on sand, hills or uneven terrain and will also be able to jump on anything without fuss. Also, if you feel like running a two-wheel RC car, you can easily find off-road RC toys in this version.

Caffeinated Content for WordPress

Jesse Taylor asked:

After a long day out on the lake, the last thing you want to do is crank your boat onto the trailer by hand. Electric marine winches allow you to load and unload without requiring any manpower. With a corded remote, you can also use your free hand to guide the boat onto the trailer as you winch. If you are by yourself, an electric winch can make loading and unloading that much easier. Regardless of your strength, size, or physical condition, you can single-handedly load your boat onto the trailer without breaking a sweat.

How do you know which size trailer winch to get? First find the gross weight of your boat. Check your owner’s manual or call the manufacturer to find out. Then add in the weight of your motor, fuel, and any equipment that will be in your boat while you’re loading it. The winch you buy needs to be able to pull at least this much weight and more. The incline of your trailer as you pull also increases the load. Just in case your electric winch ever fails, make sure you purchase one with a hand crank option. That way, if your motor or battery fails, you can still load your boat by hand the old-fashioned way.

To load your boat, back the trailer into the water. Grab the winch strap and power out the cable. Attach the winch hook to the bow eye and power in the cable. Guide the boat as needed onto the bunks or rollers. To fasten your boat on the trailer, use a separate strap to secure the bow eye. Never rely on the winch strap to secure the bow.

The more careful you are to maintain your boat trailer winch, the longer it will last. Keep a close eye on the cable. If you notice any frayed wires or other damage, replace the cable immediately. A cable that breaks under load can turn into a whip and damage anything or anyone in its path. A tethered or wireless remote allows you to stand clear of the cable when it’s under heavy load. Remember to clear the area of bystanders before you start winching.

Read your owner’s manual and follow the safety precautions listed by the manufacturer. An electric marine winch should never be used as a hoist or lift. It is only designed to pull a load on a horizontal plane or on a slight incline. Avoid wearing loose clothing or jewelry that can get caught in the winch and create a dangerous situation. Keep your hands and fingers away from the shaft, and use the winch strap to unwind the cable for added protection. Follow these safety tips and the others in your manual to safely and easily load your boat.

Save Electricity

Ryan C. Garrison asked:

Also called being “upside down”, having negative equity in your trade in is not a position most people want to be in. There has been an influx of customers with poor credit trying to buy vehicles lately. That is great for us because we help people with bad credit buy cars. The problem is how many people with bad credit want to trade in their current car (that they owe way too much money on), and lower their payment. Granted, most of these people are in SUVs and they want to also get a vehicle that will have better gas mileage, but I want to try to explain a little bit about how loans work, not just car loans, secured loans in general.

Rule Number 1 – If you are past due on your bills now, do not expect a decent interest rate.

The worst possible time to ask for a loan is when you cannot pay the credit cards and loans you already have. Think about it. If you are trying to lower your payment, and you have negative equity, make sure you have been current on all of the bills you already have for several months.

Rule Number 2 – If you have negative equity, and bad credit, your payment will probably not go down.

In fact, if you are not putting a lot of money down, your payment is probably going to go up. The reason is loan to value restrictions the lenders will make.

Rule Number 3 – Keep the loan to value in line.

I am going to give you a couple of examples of how people try to trade in a car with negative equity to try to help you understand how vehicle loans work. In both examples, the customer is trying to trade in a vehicle that is worth $10,000 and the customer owes $16,000. Total Negative Equity: $6,000.A.Car to be purchased has a value of $10,000 to the bank. The auto lender is willing to lend up to 120% of that value on this vehicle for a total of $12,000. The only way to do that would be to put $4000 down.B.The car to be purchased has a value of $25,000 to the bank. The auto lender is willing to lend up to 120% of that value on this vehicle for a total of $30,000. Since the customers are still $6000 upside down in their trade, they only need to put $1000 down in this situation. However, the payment on a $30,000 loan in Option B. is going to be a lot more than the payment of the $12,000 loan in Option A. Bottom Line: It might take some cash down to help you trade out of your vehicle. If you look at brand new vehicles, sometimes you can use factory rebates as down payment. The down side is most new cars that offer big rebates are expensive.

Rule Number 4 – The more negative equity you have, the higher your interest rate will be.

This makes sense if you think about it. If 2 people are buying the same $20,000 car, and one of them has a loan for $30000, and one has a loan for $10000, which one will have a lower auto loan interest rate? The one borrowing way less money, right? I hope you can recognize that it is less risk for the finance company to lend less money on a given car. Even if the loan turned into a repossession, they are probably going to get their money back when the car sells at auction.

Rule Number 5- When possible, don’t trade in with negative equity.

We find that people, on average, trade in their car every 2.5 years. Most people do not want to put any money down, and even more want the lowest possible payment. That is a recipe for disaster. Keep your car longer, put more money down, and you will not have the negative equity repeating cycle. It seems to get worse with every trade-in until dealers cannot help you trade in anymore.

Rule Number 6 – The lowest payment IS NOT the best deal.

Some auto loan lenders are willing to go up to 84-120 months for an auto loan. Doing this will guarantee being upside down in your loan unless you put a lot of money down. Be smart. If you cannot afford the 48 or 60 month payment, do you really need the car?

Tampa Model Boat Club

virgilio vallecera asked:

Did your heart ever palpitate for fast driving? Did you ever imagine your hands controlling an extremely speedy car? I f so, then you should definitely have the gravity and real charm of mini RC cars.

Mini RC cars have climbed up to the top position in the chartbusters of favorite pastimes or hobbies. These extremely speedy and exciting mini RC cars offer a complete time period of fun, frolic and excitement, during small and restricted arenas of racing. Since the mini RC cars are quite small in size as argued by their title, the mini RC cars can be easily designed and masterminded in your rooms or garages. However, one should not get fooled down by seeing the outer appearance of a minute sized mini RC car- alternatively the impact of the size has no impacts over the unbelievable range of it is speed, which at times touches over 20 mph.

Small balance cars or fairly the so termed mini RC cars are however not very new to that world. In the the first part of 90′s, Kyosko introduced the BAJA bugs and Tamiya the Tamtech cars. Unfortunately enough, provided the advancement of technology, these cars lost popularity and market value in the market.

However today, the scenario has drastically changed. Due to lack of adequate space and the heavy expenses of racing, these kinds of mini RC cars provide a suitable alternative. Mini RC cars can in reality quench the thirst and excitement of a car race lover. Four to six of these mini RC cars can race among themselves within small arenas of a garage or a pitiful street.

Today KYOSHO MINI-2 and HPI MICRO RS 4 RT4 experience gained immense popularity in the wide market of mini RC Cars. Besides these types of mini RC cars, the market of mini RC cars additionally comprises of SUPER MICRO MINI RC cars.

All these types of several types of mini RC cars, turn mini RC cars to a more exciting, interesting, nail-biting and variable item

Caffeinated Content

Brenda Williams asked:

“Off roading” or “4 Wheeling” is a term referring to taking a specialized vehicle on unpaved roads such as muddy trails, sand, rocky terrain, snow or low lying areas filled with water. Hypothetically speaking, any vehicle can be driven “off road.” However, not every vehicle is made to perform off road. There are certain vehicles that are marketed for this type of activity, which include:

-	Heavy duty trucks- (ex: Ford 150, Ford 250, other pickup trucks)

-	Sports Utility Vehicles- (ex: Jeep Wranglers, Jeep Rubicon, Jeep Liberty, Ford Explorer, etc.)

-	All Terrain Vehicles (ATVs)

-	Snowmobiles

-	Motorcycles

-	Mountain bicycles

In countries around the world, off roading is a way of life due to the terrain, time of year (ex: rainy season versus dry seasons), and other factors. In American culture, the use of SUV’s and other vehicles designed to be taken off road have grown in popularity despite the recent hikes in gas prices. Part of the appeal for consumers is the fact that you can have a regular vehicle for everyday use, but at the same time, you can drive your car from a normal, residential street off the side of the road and into the roads. In fact, this has been the common trend in commercials that advertise off roading vehicles. One commercial shows just that: a person seated in what looks like a luxury car from the inside. The person is driving home (presumably from a day at the office) and while driving on a winding country road, suddenly veers off to the right and into the woods only to pop back out again onto the road after a short period of time.

The Rise in Popularity of the SUV

Within the last twenty five years alone, the popularity of the SUV has increased among city and suburban drivers. Part of what makes the SUV so appealing is the fact that they are being marketed to a wider audience. Moms like them because they offer a lot of safety features, they’re bigger and can fit the children, groceries and adults with relative comfort compared to a sedan. Families like SUVs because both men and women get shared joy out of the experience. It isn’t simply a man or a woman’s car. Besides that fact, a lot of SUV’s now come with luxury models and options. So, you’re still getting all of the comfort mixed with off roading capabilities. It’s the perfect combination, right?

If you’re going to go off-roading, make sure that you always practice good safety rules. Always wear your safety belt. Even if you’re driving four miles an hour over rocky terrain, you can still become involved in a serious accident if one of your tires blows or you hit just the right spot to make your vehicle flip over. There are all sorts of ways to prevent injury. Additionally, prior to your four-wheeling experience, make sure that all loose articles and sharp objects are stowed away from your person. I doubt you’ll have as fun of a time if you had sharp objects flying at your face the entire time.

Appraisal Management Companies List

Andrew Bax asked:

The cost between Nitro RCs and Electric RCs is quite significant, Nitro RC cars cost more to purchase than electric models.

With a Nitro RC you’ll be paying for Nitro fuel, batteries and need a tool to start the vehicle called a glow start and from time to time some oil will be needed to shocks and more after care is required with a Nitro. There is much more maintenance as the fuel needs to be drained from tank each time and do a visual check on everything and make sure all screws are tight and some basic maintenance after each run.

The speed of Nitro RCs is crazy with speeds of 70 MPH and racing with friends is so cool and exciting.

Nitro RC cars can only be used outdoors as Nitro fuel is highly flammable and fumes are poisonous, so remember to safely store your Nitro fuel. I recommend to start with a Nitro RC in a big open space or park as the power of Nitro can be overwhelming and difficult to control if inexperienced, the best way is to practice first because if you was to hit a kerb or rock at speed then the RC vehicle would break or destroy part of it, I hear this all the time so take note. But with a little time and skill it won’t be long before you become a pro.

Nitro RCs are awesome fun and faster than electric models. Also with Nitro RC cars you can take some fuel with you and keep filling up and racing around, with a electric RC once you have run down the batteries then you’ll need to recharge for a few hours before carrying on.

A good start is to consider a radio controlled Nitro buggie as these can be used on-road or off-road so a good way to start, as a Nitro RC car is mainly used on a flat smooth surface like a car park or race track. I recommend a range from Acme racing as there radio controlled Nitro buggies are (RTR) ready to run and all your need is a glow start and fuel, thats it and the Condor buggie is a popular model with great features and specifications. The PRO version has a 2 speed gearbox, oil-filled shocks and a powerful 1.8 Nitro powered engine with a simplified carb making these one of the easiest pull-start engines on the market.

If you do not have much time to maintain and keep tuning or adjusting your new RC car then don’t buy a Nitro as they need a bit of extra effort and care than electric RC models. You’d be more suited to electric RCs as no fuel to add and empty after each run plus tuning and more basic care. With electric RCs they have much less noise and can be used indoors, also little after care is required, just check the batteries are charged and a general wipe down is needed.

There are two types of electric RCs:

Brushed and Brushless

Basically brushless is much quicker and can handle more voltage than a brushed motor, this is because there are no brushes so a brushless motor produces less heat so unlikely to burn out as well.

Brushless is more common now and to get good performance and a fast electric RC car then brushless is the way to go.
Acme racing also sell a great range of Brushless RC buggies, cars that run at over 40 MPH out the box! thanks to the brushless motor and high power 11.1V li-po battery pack, making them super fast and open the throttle and these pop a wheelie before taking off.

So now you know the main things to consider, whatever your choice is, radio controlled vehicles are a excellent hobby to start and just have fun.

Appraiser Pinellas

August James asked:

You have probably passed by a radio control airfield and witnessed r-c airplanes flying in the air. And wondered what it would feel like to fly model aircraft.

Well good news, wonder no more, you can LEARN.

Flying radio control models is a great deal of fun. Many people throughout the country are involved in this hobby. There is something for everyone to enjoy such as cars, trucks, helicopters and boats.

But this article will focus on radio control airplanes.

There are various aircraft models to choose from, however this article is geared toward beginners.

The recommended aircraft for beginners is a A-R-F (Almost Ready To Fly) High-wing Trainer.

It is already built, and requires a few hours of assembly to complete the model for flight.

It has a fairly large wingspan of 60″ – 70″ inches.

They also aid in better visibility and flight orientation.

This is highly recommended for beginner pilots.

Why? because high-wing trainer aircraft fly very slowly, allowing the pilot time to react to the controls on the radio transmitter.

Anyone interested in getting involved with this hobby, should do the following:

* Locate a experienced flight instructor. Visit a local hobby shop in your city.
Many R-C flight instructors work in hobby shops and are delighted to help beginners new to the hobby.

* A flight instructor can help you select the proper aircraft and engine, radio transmitter and all other

needed accessories.

* Join the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) by phone 1-765-287-1256 for more information.

Here are some Basic Consideration Questions?

Can I Afford It?

A beginner package can cost between $300 – 500.00.

Do I Need a Fast Aircraft?

No!

A high-wing trainer airplane is greatly recommended for beginner pilots.

They fly around 20 – 35 m-p-h and land at slow speeds of 10 – 15 m-p-h.

Does the aircraft need to be large?

Yes!

Because aircraft with large wingspans have a greater visibility in the sky than smaller ones.

Overall, there are many other facets to r-c airplanes than are listed here. For much more information, visit a website that offers tips and articles.

Tampa Bay Florida Fishing Guide

Keith Londrie asked:

RC or radio controlled car racing is the most thrilling part of the radio control car world. RC car racing brings excitement, whether you’re driving against the kid next door or competitively on and off road track.

If you’re going to race competitively, there are some steps you can take to prepare for the race to help you win. First you need to select its high errors correctly. The tires you choose must be matched to the surface, you will be doing the RC car racing on. Take a little time and do some research on the types of tires that your competitors and the better racers use. It can be difficult to perfect the right combination of tires and inserts for your RC car. New gadgets come on the market often, stay away for now. Stick with the tires and inserts that you know work for you and that your competitors try the new tires out first. Dan learn from their experiences.

Any unlikely event you are an able to find out what other races are using, there are some guidelines you can follow to select your tires. If you’re racing on asphalt with foam tires, purple compound tires on all corners worked nicely. If you’re racing on the carpet with foam tires, try using plaid compound upfront and use the purple compound on the back tires.

It is amazing, but psychology also plays a role in a successful race. For example, it is good practice to arrive at the track early. By doing so, you sure as your fellow racers that you’re serious and are willing to work hard in order to win. There are others that make it a habit of being the first one at the fact before the gates even open for the race. When you are early, you have plenty of time to set up your pit area. You can also charger batteries for practice and tie up any loose games before beginning your practice runs.

As well, help set up a track if they need it. The faster they can put up the track, the faster you get to practicing. We arrived late, it penalizes you because you are not getting as much practice time. It will affect your familiarity with the track. Just leave the arriving late up to your competitor. Use any advantage that you can get.

Free College Education Guide

Bryan R Johnson asked:

Tamiya cars are some of the best remote control model vehicles you can find. The company holds championship races once a year, and the winners get to compete against the champions from Japan for the World Championship.

In 1947, Yoshio Tamiya’s lumber mill started building wooden models. A few years later when the sawmill closed down, the model division continued and became very successful. By 1968, Tamiya was the first Japanese model manufacturer to exhibit at the Nuremburg Toy Fair in Germany. In 1976, Tamiya sold the first electric remote controlled model of a Porsche 934 Turbo. This helped start the popularity of radio controlled cars with hobbyists all over the world. In 1987, the Racing Mini 4WD cars were introduced to the public. By 1989, Tamiya America, Incorporated was launched in Los Angeles, California and Tamiya Europe was established in Germany. In 1995, Tamiya Philippines was established. The first Tamiya/Con model contest was held in Los Angeles. The winners got to visit Japan and compete for the World Championship.

Tamiya RC cars are made for both onroad and offroad racing. Some of the more popular models for onroad racing include the RC Raybrig NSX 2007, the RC Ferrari F430 and the RC Eclipse Advan SC430. The Raybrig is one of the best Tamiya cars for racing. It features excellent handling and a sleek chassis. The Ferrari offers both easy driving and easy maintenance. It performs superbly at high speeds and is designed with optimal balance. The Eclipse is aerodynamic and features a unique front inboard suspension system for excellent handling and precision.

For offroad fun, check out Tamiya’s RC GP RTR Nitrage 5.2 or the RC GP RTR TNX 5.2R. Since racing offroad can mean lots of grime to clean out of your Tamiya car, the Nitrage has been designed in five convenient modules. All the gears are fully enclosed to keep them free of dirt. The giant offroad tires have an inner sponge and a tread pattern that is perfect for rough surface driving. The TNX monster truck offers top speed and performance through power bursts and an amazing ball pivot suspension that offers excellent handling and stability.

One of the popular onroad Tamiya cars is the RC Impreza WRC Monte Carlo ’07. It features rally block tires, an electronic speed controller and a choice of three gear ratios: 8.22:1, 7.90:1 and 7.16:1. The new suspension system on the shaft driven 4WD chassis allows great driving control both onroad and off. This Tamiya RC car is a great choice if you aren’t sure if you prefer onroad racing or offroad. Try out both and see for yourself which you enjoy more.

Tamiya cars have proven again and again how durable and well designed they are for RC racing and competition. RC racing has developed into a worldwide competitive hobby, and Tamiya RC cars can help you compete with the best. You can not only get RC cars that are ready to go, you can customize your own car however you wish. Tamiya offers many maintenance and construction materials, as well as custom paint and accessories.

Tampa Model Boat Club
